Good morning friends,
Don't forget your Religion Exam Review Guide is due completed on Monday at the beginning of class. I'm giving you a quiz grade for its completion. I will also be giving you your current grade for the class on Monday. We will review together on Monday and Tuesday, as per usual we will have Mass on Wednesday in lieu of class. Then on Thursday, December 20 you will be taking your Religion exam. Remember to study, and read over your guide every night until the exam. It's best not to cram for a test the night before. Help yourself to do well on the exam! Have a great week, and try to relax a bit.
God Bless,
Mrs. Nicole

Good morning!
Good morning,
Today we will wrap up our studies on Chapter 9 and on Tuesday we will have our quiz on Chapter 9. On Wednesday, as usual, we will not have class due to mass. On Thursday and Friday we will be doing an intense review of the most commonly said prayers of Catholics. We will be discussing each one's importance, where it originated from, and we will be dissecting them word by word. Exam week is nearly here, please don't forget that our Religion exam is Thursday December 20! It is already on the class calendars, I will be reminding the children on a daily basis, and it will be on the 'dates to remember' section of my dry erase board. I hope everyone has a great week!

For the week of 12/3 - 12/7
Good afternoon friends,
On Monday we will be doing a little bit of group work, a bible verse scavenger hunt. The students will be given the locations to find verses from the bible about Jesus and God being our 'light'. The students are using this information for a 'secret project'. The remainder of the week we will be learning about Jesus' priesthood, sacrifices, and their significance to our Catholic faith. As always my friends, I pray that God keeps you and your families safe.
God Bless,
Mrs. Nicole

For the week of 11/26 - 11/30
Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! This week we will be completing chapter 8, by learning about the triple office of Jesus: Jesus as the prophet, the priest, and the king. This chapter is extremely short and we worked on it during our short allotted time last week. The test for chapter 8 will be on Friday, it is already on the class calendars. Our class will also be doing a fun art project after the test on Friday. If anyone would like to donate a box of baby wipes for our project's clean up it would be very much appreciated. As we begin our classes in preparation for Christmas, please don't forget all the things you have to be thankful for. Our freedom, faith, family, and friends are wonderful jumping off points. Examine your conscience and remember to say a small prayer of thanksgiving every day, God deserves our thanks in prayers.
God Bless,
Mrs. Nicole

For the week of 11/12 - 11/16
Good Evening,
As usual we won't have class tomorrow, please remember to study for your test on Thursday. I'll remind you as I see you in the hallways, at lunch, and after mass. Study the definitions for the words in the Words to Know section at the end of the chapter, your workbook pages that we corrected as a class, and your CCC questions, which are also at the end of your chapter. If you study you should do well on this test. We will begin our next chapter on Friday and will work on it until the Thanksgiving break. I won't update the blog for next week since we're only in school for a day and sixty percent of another. I hope everyone has a great week!

Hello my students!
Hello students,
Just a heads up! Your first quarter religion exam is on Thursday, October 11th during our normal class time. I've already added it to the school's calendar, and I will continue to mention it in class. This week has flown past, and it's nearly over already! For the remainder of the week, we will be discussing Abraham, his direct descendants, and the importance of the patriarchal tree. On a separate note, I would like to thank each of you for your smooth transition from Mrs. Aimee's class to mine. I'm looking forward to learning more about each of you and sharing my knowledge with you! I'll see you all in class.

Dear parents
Hello parents,
Let me take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm Mrs. Nicole Waaga, a lifetime catholic school girl. I'm an alumni of Pope John Paul II Catholic High School, Pearl River Community College, and the University of Southern Mississippi. I'm currently working on my Master's degree at William Carey University. I'm teaching religion to the sixth and seventh graders and I'm helping in Mrs. Marilyn's English class as well. After school I help coach the St. C. B. swim team. I substitute taught in Picayune for two years, and took a full time position at West Side Elementary last year. By the grace of God, I crossed paths with Mrs. Angela and now I'm teaching at St. Charles Borromeo. Some of you might remember me from Open House, but unfortunately I've not had the pleasure to meet everyone. You're more than welcome to come to the school, or you can call the school and leave a message for me. Please feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, or comments. Thank you, and I'm looking forward to teaching your children.
God Bless,
Mrs. Nicole
